There are 1.5 million elderly people in Belarus

According to Belstat research, at the beginning of 2023, more than 1.5 million citizens aged 65 and older lived in Belarus. It follows from this that every sixth inhabitant of the country is elderly, Sputnik reported.

According to statistics, 70% of pensioners go online every day.

Every fourth elderly person (26%) has a healthy lifestyle.

There are more elderly women in Belarus than men, but the latter are more likely to enter into a marriage union after the age of 60.

In 2022, 1,216 older women and 1,883 men married.
