Thirty two thousand hectares of forest will be plant this year

Belarus plans to plant 32 thousand hectares or 320 square kilometers of forest this year. This area is almost equal to the area of Minsk, BelTA reported.

In the first three months, 12 thousand hectares of trees have already been planted. The area of planting of new forests in Belarus is increasing from year to year. This allows you to preserve forests, despite deforestation.

Foresters pay special attention to the restoration of forests affected by drought. Last year, as a result of hurricane winds, plantings on an area of over 10 thousand hectares were lost. The bulk of the damage occurred in the Mogilev region. Now there is a need to restore 7.5 thousand hectares of forest.

Reminder, that you can bring equipment and clothes for recycling at Galleria Minsk Mall.
