Three Belarusian tennis players to take part in Australian Open 2024

Belarusians Aryna Sabalenka (world number two), Victoria Azarenka (22 WTA) and Alexandra Sasnovich (92 WTA) will travel to Melbourne in January 2024, Sputnik reported.

The current Australian Open champion is Aryna Sabalenka, who also took 6th place among the highest-paid athletes in 2023.

The best Belarusian tennis player in the men's category, Ilya Ivashko, was not included in the list of participants. The trophy of the first Grand Slam tournament of the year was not included.

In total, 99 tennis players will compete in the women's category, 97 athletes in the men's category. The competition will take place from January 14 to January 28, the prize fund of the tournament will amount to more than 53 million dollars.
