Three cinemas with IMAX technology are planned to open in Minsk

Three cinemas that will use IMAX technology may appear in Minsk in the next two years, minsknews.by reports.

IMAX stands for Image Maximum. The screen in IMAX halls is unusually large, it occupies almost the entire space from floor to ceiling and is much wider than the standard one. Therefore, the size of the image exceeds the field of view of a person sitting anywhere in the hall. This ensures the maximum effect of the viewer's presence and immersion in what is happening.

By the end of 2021, Silver Screen plans to open the IMAX cinema in the Palazzo shopping and entertainment center, which is located on Timiryazeva Street. It will be called MOOON.

At the end of 2022, it is planned to complete the Minsk City Mall complex near the railway station. It should also have an IMAX cinema.

The third cinema is planned to open in the Green City shopping center, located in Kamennaya Gorka. A building is being attached to it, in which it is planned to place an IMAX hall.
