Three international sporting events in 2025

Three major international tournaments will be held in Belarus in 2025, Sputnik informs:  

• Minsk International Half Marathon (September), where about 10 thousand athletes are expected to participate. The organizers will be the Belarusian Athletics Federation, the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, as well as the Minsk City Executive Committee.  
• ITF Open Taekwondo Commonwealth Cup – World Cup (November–December) with the planned participation of 800 athletes. The tournament is organized by the Belarusian Taekwondo Federation and the Ministry of Sports.  
• Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Matches (August 2025 – April 2026), which will be attended by about 1,150 athletes. The organization will be taken over by the Dynamo Minsk Hockey Club and the Belarusian Hockey Federation.  

The resolution on holding these events was approved by the Council of Ministers and will enter into force on January 1, 2025.
