Ukraine will buy electricity from Belarus from November 1

From November 1, Ukraine will resume importing electricity from Belarus due to a shortage of coal at state-owned thermal power plantsminsknews.by reports.

The Ukrainian state-owned company Energoatom has bought 885 out of 900 available MW of interstate transmission line capacity for import from our country. Another 15 MW was acquired by the company "Electro Community".

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine stated that they would not buy electricity from Belarus, since they have enough coal reserves of their own for the heating season. However, then it became known that there would be enough coal for only five or six days of work.
