Ultramarafon runner is going to run in Minsk for twenty-four hours without sleep
February 7, Vitebsk resident Yevgeny Gutsalov is going to run in Minsk for 24 hours, making only ten-minute breaks for a snack, reports tut.by.
He will hold a daily race on the treadmill in the business center "21 century" (Independence, 169) in the showroom of the store "Fitness Technologies". During the day, everyone can watch the athlete on the track.
Yevgeny runs ultramarathons for more than a year, but he does not keep track of them (he ran 650 kilometers from North to South of Belarus in 10 days). His previous personal best was 125 kilometers of continuous running in 12 hours.
The next challenge of the athlete will be charitable, with its help he wants to draw attention to the Vitebsk public Association "DAR".
— Energy should be directed in the right direction, so that running is for good and help is meaningful. Sometimes I train with the team "DAR", which organizes joint recreation for children with disabilities and physically healthy people. I see that the guys are doing a good job, but it is difficult for them to pull everything on their shoulders: expensive strollers, equipment, trips outside the country. I hope to attract sponsors through my running project and social networks and raise money that will be a good support for them.
