UNDP provided humanitarian aid to Belarus

UNDP allocated Belarus medical products worth $10 thousand to fight against coronavirus, Belta reports.

UNDP, with the support of Russia, provided $10,000 worth of medical products to Belarusian healthcare institutions. Medical institutions received 70 thousand nitrile gloves that protect against the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The products were transferred to the Republican Center for Organization of Medical Response, and then they will be distributed among medical institutions in need of assistance in connection with the pandemic.

The humanitarian aid is a part of the UNDP project “Assistance to the Government of the Republic of Belarus upon joining the World Trade Organization” and was funded through it.

Humanitarian aid has become an act of expressing solidarity with doctors who are in direct contact with patients infected with coronavirus.
