Unemployment rate in Belarus is the lowest in EAEU

The number of unemployed in Belarus by the end of 2022 is 179.7 thousand people, according to the statistical yearbook of the Eurasian Economic Union. At the same time, more than 95 thousand vacancies are available, Sputnik reported.

In Belarus, the unemployment rate in 2022 was 3.6%. This is the lowest indicator among the EAEU countries. Thus, in Russia it is 3.9%, in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan – 4.9%, in Armenia – 13.4%.

Moreover, according to the statistical yearbook, in 2018 the unemployment rate in Belarus was 4.8%/ Thus, unemployment has decreased by 1.2% in five years.
