Unmanned electric buses will appear in Minsk in 2022
Minsk Automobile factory is preparing to release the first domestic unmanned cars, sputnik.by reports.
Well-known bus models are going to be used for the production of drones. And the first such electric bus will appear on the roads of Belarus next year.
"An unmanned electric bus will have a degree of automation, probably no more than 4 at the first stage, because you need to teach the car to drive. At first, it will be a trip with a driver, that is, there must be a pilot who will teach the car to drive independently", - says Andrey Savchits, head of the department of the chief designer of automated systems, telematics and mechatronics of MAF.
It should be noted that over time, such transport is going to be launched not only on city streets, but also for long-distance flights.
