US ditches COVID tests for foreign tourists

Since June 12, PCR tests and certificates of recovery are no longer needed when entering the United States, "Sobiray Rukzkak" writes. However, foreigners must have a certificate of vaccination with a drug approved by the FDA or WHO:

  • Pfizer/BionTech
  • Moderna
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • AstraZeneca/Oxford
  • Covishield
  • Sinopharm
  • Sinovac
  • Covaxin
  • Nuvaxovid (Novavax)
  • Convidecia
  • Covovax

Entry without a certificate is only possible for:

  • citizens and residents of the USA
  • immigration visa holders
  • children under 18 years of age
  • those entering with a medical withdrawal from vaccination
