Venice introduces tax on visiting city
From July 1, tourists will be able to pre-register on a platform and receive a QR code to visit Venice. Such a system will help reduce the tourist flow to the city, the "Sobiray Rukzak" Telegram channel writes.
We remind you that PCR tests and a vaccination certificate are still needed to enter Italy. We also published a list of European countries where entry without sanitary documents is allowed.
Registration for visiting Venice will be free until January 2023. They will also give discounts to museums and restaurants for it.
From mid-January 2023, registration will become mandatory. Tourists will also need to pay a tax of €3 to €10 euros, depending on the season and a day of the week.
