Viber increased the number of participants in group audio calls due to coronavirus
From today, the number of possible participants in group audio calls in Viber is doubled — up to 10 people at a time, reports dev.by.
The company decided to expand its resource capabilities due to the spread of coronavirus and the growing need for users to stay connected.
— Against the background of the spread of coronavirus, many companies are transferring employees to remote work. And they need a safe and reliable platform to communicate with their families. In addition, they need to be able to work fully from anywhere in the world,— said Ofir Eyal, operating Director of Rakuten Viber
The company clarified that all viber personal and group chats, calls, messages, photos and documents are protected by end-to-end encryption. Viber does not store content transmitted in the app on its servers. Decryption keys are stored only on users' devices and are not available to Viber employees or third parties.
