Video surveillance will be installed in all forests of Belarus

By the end of 2023, all forests of Belarus will be connected to the video surveillance system, Sputnik writes. An automated video surveillance system allows you to identify the source of fire in the forest in time and stop the spread of fire.

At the moment, video surveillance is carried out on 77.4% of the forest area of Belarus. By the end of the year, the Ministry of Forestry is tasked with connecting all forests to the system.

At the same time, almost 60% of forest fires in Belarus are detected by remote monitoring using video surveillance cameras and radio communications.
