Virtual Exhibition of Paintings in Minsk

On the 14th of May, 2020, the virtual exhibition of paintings “The Artist and the City” will be opened in Minsk, reports Citydog.by. Previously, the exhibition was held in an offline format, however, in connection with the coronavirus, the project was adapted to new realities.

The exhibition will take place in Minsk for the 9th time and will be dedicated to the centenary of UNOVIS. The organizers prepared a virtual tour of at Yakub Kolas Square, where the stands with paintings will be "displayed".

This season the exhibition will feature 32 works in the style of Suprematism by Kazimir Malevich. In total, 16 artists from Vitebsk took part in the project, including some members of the “Square” creative association.

The virtual tour will be available from the 14th of May on the website of the project. Virtual visitors will be able to “walk” among the stands, as well as zoom in on their favourite paintings to view them in good quality. The organizers promise that as soon as the pandemic is over, the exhibition will also be held in offline format.
