Visa centers of Slovakia in Belarus do not accept applications for tourist visas

Since April 3, the visa centers of Slovakia in Minsk and Gomel has ended accepting documents for a Schengen visa for the purpose of tourism, "Sobiray Rukzak" reported.

A message has appeared on the website of the Visa center of Slovakia in Minsk that since April 3, "for each application for a Schengen visa, a document on the purpose of the trip, an invitation certified by the Police Department for Foreigners of Slovakia, is required."

The Embassy of Slovakia in Minsk clarified that at the moment and until further notice, it is possible to apply for Schengen type C only if there is an invitation certified by the Slovak police, which is not applicable to the tourist purpose of the trip. Accordingly, it is impossible to obtain a Schengen visa for a tourist purpose in Belarus.
