Waste disposal volumes decrease in Minsk

In the city, the amount of waste that is buried at the only operating Trostenetsky landfill is being reduced, the Minsk-News agency writes.

In 2021, the landfill received 679.5 thousand tons of waste, including 72.5 thousand tons of industrial waste. This is 29.5 thousand tons less compared to 2020. From 2015 to 2021, the annual volume of burial decreased by 509 thousand tons.

Also in 2021, more than 500 garbage trucks were refused unloading at the landfill due to the presence of recyclables in the imported waste.
