Water Service Company will provide artesian tap water in Minsk

Experts expect to start implementing a project to transfer Minsk to underground water supply sources in the 2nd half of 2022, the website of the Minsk City Executive Committee writes with reference to the Minsk-News agency.

To transfer Minsk to underground water supply sources, Minsk Vodokanal will build more than 90 km of networks. The development of project documentation is already being completed. Construction will begin in the 2nd half of this year. The project will be fully completed by 2025.

Now the water supply in Minsk comes from a surface source and 356 artesian wells, most of which are located outside the city. Water supply networks have a length of more than 3.1 thousand km. Every day the city receives 450 thousand cubic meters of water, which is purified at several stations.
