Batyr Berdyklychev, the WHO representative in Belarus, made a statement in parliament that more effective measures should be introduced in the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

In Belarus, there has been an increase in COVID-19 diseases, and a peak is predicted for April-May. In order to slow down the spread of infection, the representative of the WHO recommends to take the immediate measures, in particular, the introduction of official quarantine in the country. According to Batyr Berdyklychev, the introduction of distance learning and the closure of mass events will help significantly reduce the number of patients with coronavirus.
