What subjects pupils choose for advanced studies in Minsk

In the 2021/2022 academic year, more than half of pupils of 10th grades in Minsk schools choose advanced studies (257 specialized classes out of 428), the Minsk-News agency writes.

This means that almost every second high school student is engaged in an advanced program. Pupils study natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics. More and more students choose these areas.

In 10th grade of high school, students can also take occupational training. They can choose one of 40 specialties and take additional classes at colleges. More than 8,600 high school students are undergoing occupational training this academic year.

Every year the list of professions is expanding. Now pupils can learn professions of a locksmith-a collector of household appliances, a stove maker, an operator of electronic typing and layout, a baker. After graduation, thwy receive a working discharge.
