When is the next theater season?

The Bolshoi Theater announced that the opening of the season is scheduled for September 8, relax.by reports. This will be the 88th season of the Bolshoi Theater.

Traditionally, as a part of the opening of the season, the Bolshoi Theater presents a premiere. On September 8 and 9, spectators will be able to see and appreciate the performance of the ballet with live music - "Peer Gynt" for the first time. This performance was previously presented at the theater, it was included in the repertoire of the Bolshoi Theater until 1978. And now, 40 years later, the Bolshoi Theater has decided to re-present the ballet performance on stage. The plot is based on the dramatic poem by Henrik Ibsen, created in 1867.

Despite the fact that the epidemic brought about the suspension of most cultural institutions, the Bolshoi Theater expects that the opening of the season will proceed as planned.
