When will Belavia resume its work?

The management of the Belarusian airline shared information about when the flights will resume and Belavia’s economic statistics will return to normal, reports tut.by.

In connection with the spread of coronavirus, the Belarusian airline has suspended a large number of flights. Since March 2020, the company's revenue has declined significantly, and passenger traffic has fallen by 40% compared with the statistics before the coronavirus. Nevertheless, the Belavia management plans a gradual resumption of the pre-crisis number of flights.

The company’s management reports that if the circumstances in the world do not change significantly, the company will achieve its previous flight numbers only by 2021. Similar forecasts apply to all air travels of passengers around the world.

However, the airline has already resumed a part of the flights. For example, the flights to Milan and Rome from Minsk have been started. Although the number of passengers is still quite small, on average, planes are 60% full.
