Which banknotes are forged most often in Belarus?

During the three quarters of 2022, bank employees identified 705 counterfeit banknotes, of which 84% were US dollars, BelTA reported.

Most counterfeit banknotes (66%) were found in Minsk. Most often, $100 and $50 banknotes were forged among US dollars.

In comparison with the same period of 2021, the total number of counterfeit bills increased by 19%. The share of counterfeit Russian rubles was 9%, euro was 4%, Belarusian rubles was 1%.
