Will Belarusian athletes go to the Olympic Games in Tokyo?

The International Olympic Committee has banned Alexander Lukashenko and members of the National Olympic Committee in the Republic of Belarus from participating in the IOC events, including the Olympic Games in Tokyo, tut.by reports.

In addition to the fact that Alexander Lukashenko is banned from attending the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the International Olympic Committee has suspended payments of Olympic scholarships to athletes participating in the Olympic Games.

In addition, the IOC demanded that all athletes be allowed to participate in the Olympic Games, regardless of their political positions. The IOC itself invites Belarusian athletes to participate in the Olympics.

Earlier, the International Olympic Committee has already started an investigation against the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus on the issue of political persecution of Belarusian athletes.
