Will the Dota 2 tournament take place in Belarus?

The Belarusian Cybersport Federation has submitted an application for holding an esports tournament for Dota 2 - The International 11 - in Minsk, reports tut.by.

The International is the largest Dota 2 cyber tournament in the world! From the 1^st of April, the organizers of the championship will begin to consider the applications from all over the world for the tournament in 2021. We remind you that The International 2020 will take place from 18^th till 23^rd of August in Stockholm, where during the final the next location of the competition will be announced.

The Belarusian Cybersport Federation draw attention to the fact that the Sports and Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Belarus agreed to provide support in the organization of The International 11, if the championship takes place in Minsk.

Last year, the competition was held in Shanghai, where the OG team won. It was for the first time in the history of the tournament when a team won twice. The final of the championship took almost four and a half hours; as a result, the OG team earned $15.4 million.
