Women's football championship in Belarus will take place despite coronavirus
On the 30th of April, 2020 the women's football championship in Belarus will start, reports Belarusfeed. The competitions will be held, despite the spread of coronavirus in the country.
On the 16th of April, 2020, the Association «The Football Federation of Belarus» planned the opening of the Women's Premier League, but later it was decided to postpone the date to the 30th of April, 2020. The delay was caused by the fact that members of some teams were in contact with people with coronavirus. Nevertheless, as soon as the test results for COVID-19 with the “negative” arrived, the Association announced a new championship date.
The Women's Premier League includes 3 rounds and runs until the 8th of November, 2020. Final games will take place in the second half of October.
Over the past seven years, the football club «Minsk» has been the leader of the championship. In the current season, many people count on FC Bobruichanka, which is the most titled team in Belarus.
