World Health Day: facts about medicine in Minsk

World Health Day is celebrated on April 7. Interesting facts about the work of the healthcare system in Minsk were collected by the Minsk-News agency amomg the data by the Main Statistical Office.

At the end of 2021, there were 11.1 thousand practicing doctors and 22.7 thousand average medical workers in Minsk. There are 55.4 practicing doctors and 113.7 medical workers per 10 thousand people in Minsk.

At the beginning of 2022, 33% of Minsk residents aged 16+ rated their health as good, 61.2% consider their health satisfactory (according to a sample survey).

In 2021, exports of healthcare services amounted to $22.3 million. This is 12.7% more compared to 2020. Imports of medical services amounted to $3.6 million and increased by 31.2% over the year.
