History of MTZ enterprise

The history of the enterprise dates back to 1946, when the Council of Ministers issued a decree on the construction of a large tractor plant. A year later, the construction of the MTZ was declared an all-Union shock construction project. The next year after construction, the first starting motor was released, which marked the start of production.

Already in 1949, the assembly of the first model of a wheeled tractor was completed, which served as the basis for all subsequent products. The plant began to improve its products and produce new types of tractors. And already in 1958 he produced the 100 thousandth tractor.

The Minsk Tractor Plant achieved incredible success, which already in 1966 was awarded the Order of Lenin, in 1971 with the Order of the October Revolution, and in 1985 with the Order of the Polar Star.

In 1989, MTZ began construction of its own polyclinic.

Already in 1999, an increase in the number of countries of supply began, products were exported to Mauritania, Yemen, Sudan.

Already in the 2000s, the enterprise was certified for compliance with all European standards. This is confirmed by a certification audit carried out by TÜV-Thuringia.

Subsidiaries began to open in many countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Australia and Kyrgyzstan.

In 2018, the plant became a sponsor of the football club BATE Borisov, and became an official partner of HC Dynamo-Minsk.

Today MTZ is one of the 8 best manufacturers of agricultural machinery in the world.
