The Great Patriotic War Museum is located in the very center of the city (Nemiga metro station). Next to the museum is one of the most important sights of Belarus – the monument "Minsk – Hero City".
The museum opened back in 1944 after two years of collecting materials about the Second World War. The museum has become the largest repository of data about the heroes and events of the Great Patriotic War.
The museum's collection includes items, visual, written and audiovisual sources.
You can buy a ticket to the museum both on the website and at the ticket office at the entrance to the museum. The website also invites visitors to make a virtual tour of selected exhibitions and expositions of the museum.
Also within the framework of the museum's activities there is a mobile museum project – a mobile exhibition on the theme of World War II.
At the end of the exhibition, visitors to the museum are invited to visit the cafe.
