Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus

History of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus

The history of the academy began in 1991, when the first building was opened in Minsk. The main goal of the Academy was to conduct targeted training for the program of transition to a market economy for specialists of the BSSR.

The Academy was actively involved in the construction of infrastructure, so the library and the Research Center were opened in the same year. Gradually, they began to create new faculties and specialties.

In 1995 it became the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus. In this regard, new concepts and training plans were developed, and appropriate buildings were allocated for successful development.

Over time, new methods of teaching and training scientific and pedagogical personnel were created through postgraduate and doctoral studies. In 1996, the academy begins to practice international cooperation. The first who began cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus were the countries of Western Europe and the CIS.

Since 1998, the academy has been running a new competition for admission of students. It included an oral examination to test knowledge of economics and management, an examination to test knowledge of a foreign language, testing to test the professional qualities, as well as the physical condition of the applicant.

The Academy has always been interested in raising the level of competence of the teaching staff. For this, an assessment of the quality of work of employees of the institution was introduced.

In the 2000s, a society was created to unite students who are actively involved in scientific activities. And in 2004 the Council of Young Scientists was created.

The use of electronic technologies in teaching became a real breakthrough for the academy. A whole training center based on Internet technologies and the Academy's web server have been created.

In 2009, a museum exposition of the Academy of Management was created on the basis of the institution. A year later, the exhibition “65 years of the Great Victory” was opened here. The exposition features items of a tragic war - cartographic sources, wartime posters, newspapers, leaflets, etc.
