260 thousand tourists visited Belarusian nature reserves
In 2024, more than 260 thousand tourists, including 56 thousand foreigners, visited Belarusian nature reserves, Minsk-News reports.
There are 1,354 specially protected areas in Belarus, covering more than 9% of the country's area. 18 of them have established visitor centers, environmental education classes and tourist bases.
There are 81 tourist routes and 24 ecological trails available in the country, and the infrastructure is constantly developing. There is a map on the website of the Ministry of Natural Resources that helps tourists plan visits by providing information about working hours and the possibility to book excursions.
Ecotourism in Belarus is growing every year, but for each protected area there are restrictions on the number of visitors in order to avoid negative effects on nature.
