A smart pedestrian crossing appeared in the Minsk region

A new pedestrian crossing started operating on the 18th km of the P1 Minsk - Dzerzhinsk highway, Minsk-News reported. Recently, the State Traffic Inspectorate made a proposal to limit the speed of electric scooters in certain parts of Minsk.

Sensors have been installed at the new pedestrian crossing that fix the exit to the roadway. When a pedestrian approaches the road, additional lighting is also turned on and a large scoreboard lights up with a warning for drivers: "Attention. Pedestrian". The information is visible at a distance of at least 100 m from the object.

Also, along with the light, sound information is turned on so that the pedestrian looks to the left, in the direction from which the transport is moving. In addition, stationary speed control sensors are installed, which record traffic violations. All sensors work around the clock.

This is the second technological pedestrian crossing in the Minsk region. The project continues to be implemented.
