Among artisans who received state subsidy, the majority are women

Since the beginning of 2022, the Minsk Employment Service has provided gratuitous financial support for the organization of handicraft activities to 21 unemployed people, Minsk-News reported. And 81% of the recipients of the subsidy are women.

Also, 19% of artisans who received financial support are young people under the age of 31. The average age of future artisans is 41 years.

Among the artisans who received the subsidy, most are engaged in artistic painting of wood, making handmade products and tailoring national Belarusian clothes.

In Belarus, unemployed people over the age of 18 can receive a gratuitous subsidy. Since August 1, the amount of financial assistance is BYN 3613.
