Another bank will make payments on dollar cards in euros

We recently wrote that Belarusbank has started making payments on Visa dollar cards in euros. A similar notification was also published by the Reshenie bank, CityDog.io writes.

The Visa international payment system has changed the currency of settlements with some Belarusian banks from the dollar to the euro. Changing the currency of the bank's settlements does not affect the possibility of making current payments. However, this may affect the total amount of the transaction if the currency of the card and the settlement currency do not match.

In order for exchange rate differences not to be a surprise, bankers recommend paying with a card in the currency in which the payment is made. It is also worth considering that payment systems charge 1–1.5% if the card currency and the transaction currency are different.
