Belarus and Iran signed cooperation plan

Now the President of Belarus is on an official visit to Iran, where he is holding talks with the president of the country, Sputnik reported. The leaders of the countries have already signed a cooperation plan for 2023-2026.

The document sets out the conditions for cooperation in the political, economic, scientific, technical, consular spheres, as well as in education, culture, and the media.

In addition, following the talks in Tehran, Belarus and Iran signed diplomatic events.

In 2022, the trade turnover between Iran and Belarus tripled and reached 100 million US dollars.

Belarus continues procedures to prepare for joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in June this year.
