Belarus' GDP to loose up to 5%

The Belarusian authorities have previously expressed confidence that the republic's economy will begin to recover in the first quarter of this year. However, according to EDB forecasts, the country's GDP may decrease by 3-5% in the first quarter, Sputnik reported.

At the same time, experts of the Eurasian Development Bank believe that already in the second quarter the Belarusian economy can move to growth compared to the same period of the previous year.

Experts state that the Belarusian economy has adapted to external pressure and the rate of falling investment has significantly decreased, the decline in construction has stopped.

EDB experts also predict an increase in salaries in Belarus.
