Belarus ranked 39th in the world in English proficiency among residents

Belarus ranked 39th out of 111 in the world's largest ranking of countries in EF English Proficiency Index for 2022. Last year, the country was on the 38th place on the 40th in 2020, Devby.io reported.

The countries in the list are divided into five groups: very high English Proficiency, high, medium, low, very low. Belarus was assigned to the third group, where the language skills are medium. In Europe, the country retained the 28th place out of 35.

In addition, residents of Minsk and Minsk region know English better than residents of other regions of Belarus.
