Belarus to pay debts to China in yuan

Belarus will pay for Chinese dollar loans in yuan, BelTA reported. We recently wrote that Belarusbank started making payments to Mastercard in euros.

The First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus said that finance is one of the fundamental elements of cooperation with China. Belarus is switching to yuan in debt payments.

In the current situation, the yuan is a comfortable currency for the country. "Despite the fact that the loans were initially denominated in dollars, we will pay in yuan," the First Deputy Prime Minister said.
