Belarus to update law on privacy

The House of Representatives of Belarus is studying the issues of the exchange of electronic personal data of citizens, Sputnik reported. Let us remind you that significant changes will also appear in the electoral code.

The draft Civil Code, which is currently under consideration in the House of Representatives, is considering the inclusion in civil legislation of issues of protection of both the private life of a citizen and the image of a citizen. The House of Representatives discusses issues related to obtaining the consent of citizens to use their image.

The draft law on the amendment of the Civil Code, which will include innovations on the protection of personal data, is planned to be considered and adopted by the end of this year.
