Belarus' trade turnover with the SCO countries increased by 12%

In January – August of this year, the Belarusian trade turnover with the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization amounted to 33 billion US dollars. Compared to the same period last year, the increase in trade turnover amounted to almost 12%, Sputnik reported.

During this period, the SCO countries accounted for 70% of the total volume of Belarus' foreign trade. Belarus also intends to expand cooperation in the supply of high-quality agricultural products.

Belarus has already started the process of joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Prime Minister of Belarus also stated that the country is interested in developing trade and economic cooperation with the countries of the organization.

In addition, by the end of 2022, the export of Belarusian products may break records.
