Belarusian astronaut ISS mission purpose was announced

Recently it became known that the first Belarusian cosmonaut will be a woman. She will fly to the ISS as part of the Russian team in September 2023. There, she will test some technologies, Sputnik reported.

Belarusian scientists are studying interplanetary travel and long-term flights, so the cosmonaut will explore technologies for growing plants for oxygen regeneration, as well as technologies for protecting living beings and electronics from radiation.

The data that she collects, scientists will process for several years.
