Belarusian school student took bronze at International Olympiad in Economics

Ilya Yakimuk, a student of Brest Lyceum No. 1, won a bronze medal at the International Economics Olympiad, the website of the Belarusian State University writes. In July, a team of Belarusian school students also won at the Olympiad in Geology.

The Belarusian national team included five students. Two team members also became the best according to the results of the financial game in English. The team leader was Ekaterina Stolyarova, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations at BSU.

The International Olympiad in Economics was held in an online format from July 26 to August 1. It was organized by China. More than 200 high school students from 41 countries participated in the competition. They competed in three rounds, the tasks of which were devoted to economics, financial literacy and solving a business case.
