Belarusian State University climbed the QS ranking
The British agency Quacquarelli Symonds updated rankings of world universities by subjects in 54 scientific areas, the press service of BSU reported. The university ranked 288th among world universities.
The University retained last year's position in the field of "physics and astronomy", as well as moved up in the "natural science industry" by 43 positions and took 341 position.
In addition, BSU entered two new subject rankings. It took 401-450 position in the "engineering and technology", and 651-680 in the "computer science and information systems".
According to the UN Statistical Institute, Belarus also ranked 5th in the world by the share of university graduates in the field of natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics or STEM.
