BSU Professor became a member of Russian Academy of Sciences
Nikolay Poklonsky, Professor of the Department of Semiconductor Physics and Nanoelectronics, Faculty of Physics in the Belarusian State University, has been elected a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the university's website writes. Recently we wrote that BSU scientists are developing a device for remote monitoring of the forest. It will help to assess damage by pests.
This title is awarded to scientists who have received recognition from the world scientific community and were elected by the general meeting of RAS members. It gives the right to submit issues on the development of various fields of science to the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, to take part in scientific and scientific-technical examinations.
The Russian Academy of Sciences was established in 1724. It is the largest center of fundamental research in Russia.
