BSU scientists are working on skin regeneration drug
The Belarusian State University is developing an innovative drug "Foscelantan" which accelerates the regeneration of damaged skin tissues, the press service of the university reported.
The drug is a bio-absorbable plate that covers the damaged area on the skin. It accelerates the healing of wounds with a variety of diseases. In addition, the drug is suitable for the treatment of surgical sutures and the prevention of infectious complications.
This is the first Belarusian drug to accelerate the healing of skin tissues. Its development took 6 years. The drug has passed preclinical trials, and clinical studies will be conducted in the near future.
Recently, BSU scientists have developed a radiation monitoring system.
