Demand for rental housing fell in Minsk

In May, the level of demand for rented housing in Minsk decreased by 19% compared to May 2021, Minsk-News writes. Also in May, the number of requests to "rent an apartment in Minsk" decreased by 5%, according to Google Trends.

At the same time, the volume of supply increased: only in the site's database, the number of ads reached 16.8 thousand (+ 5% compared to April) and increased evenly across all types of housing.

Prices for apartments at the end of May:

  • 1-room — $259 (unchanged per month);
  • 2-room — $320 (- 0.6%);
  • 3-room — $402 (- 0.7%).

In addition, over the past year, the cost of 2- and 3-room rented apartments in the city decreased by 4%, 1-room — by 5%.

We recently wrote that in January – April 2022, private and public developers in Minsk built about 4.5 thousand new apartments.
