EDB explained the reason for the growth of lending in Belarus
Credit growth continues in Belarus. In March 2023, loans were issued by 1% more than in February. The growth of lending is associated with the easing of monetary policy, Sputnik reported.
In a new express review, experts of the Eurasian Development Bank issued loans in March by 1% more than in February, and in February by 1.3% more than in January.
The increase was formed mainly due to the issuance of loans to the private sector. The refinancing rate was also lowered, so the attractiveness of loans increased. EDB experts believe that the refinancing rate will continue to decline.
The National Bank of Belarus also predicts further easing of lending conditions.
In March, the debt of Belarusian companies on loans also decreased.
