Eurasian Development Bank invests $1.5 billion in Belarus' economy

The Eurasian Development Bank will invest $1.5 billion in the Belarusian economy by 2026. The government of the country is already ready to offer the bank specially selected projects for investment, Sputnik reports.

The Head of the bank's management board met with the Belarusian Prime Minister in Minsk to discuss issues of economic cooperation between the bank and the country.

The approved strategy to support the economy of Belarus assumes investments in the amount of $1.5 billion, which will be received by 2026. The Bank adheres to this strategy and intends to implement it in full.

At the same time, experts of the Eurasian Development Bank believe that the economy of Belarus will fall by another 5% in the near future.
