European biathlon championship started in Raubichi

The opening ceremony of the European biathlon championship was held in the Republican center (for Olympic training in winter sports) "Raubichi", which is located near Minsk, reports ej.by.

Initially, the championship was planned to be held in Estonia, but due to the abnormally warm winter, the organizers could not guarantee the necessary conditions for the competition, so it was decided to move the championship to Belarus, in Raubichi.

In total, 40 teams will participate in the European championship, with more than 300 athletes. The competition will end on March 1.
