Flight of the first Belarusian astronaut is postponed to next year
It was assumed that the first cosmonaut from Belarus would go on a flight in the autumn of this year. The astronaut had to be a woman. However, Roscosmos postponed the flight for six months, Sputnik reported.
The Belarusian was supposed to fly to the ISS in the fall of 2023. Now the flight has been postponed to the spring of 2024.
Perhaps this is due to malfunctions in the Soyuz-MS-22 spacecraft, which is docked to the ISS.
In December last year, six candidates from Belarus were selected for space flights. Currently, they are being trained on the basis of Roscosmos.
